About PSiDAH

The purpose of the New Carlsberg Foundation’s project Primary Sources in Danish Art History (in Danish: Kilder til Dansk Kunsthistorie or KTDK) is to scan and publish written source material for selected topics in Danish art history with annotations. A written source material typically consists of letters, journals, notebooks and other types of records. The selection of projects is guided by an ambition of offering the widest possible chronological and geographic representation.

For each project the New Carlsberg Foundation provides funding corresponding to one full-time employee, as the projects should be of a character that they can be completed in the course of one year. Annually, the foundation will launch three to four new projects, all of which are published on the PSiDAH website, ktdk.dk, and, occasionally, on the host institution’s own website. If the material or parts of it are suited for publication in book form, it will come under consideration for being included in the series Kilder til Dansk Kunsthistorie, which is published in collaboration with Strandberg Publishing.
